THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Assistant assists in patient recruitment and retention for the Tennessee Heart Health Network study across Tennessee designed to reduce health care disparities and improve the receipt of recommended care. The Tennessee Heart Health Network aims to identify, develop, and implement patient-centered approaches to improve the quality of care and outcomes for people with cardiovascular disease.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements recruitment and engagement strategies for patients and providers, engaging in data collection and retention activities.
- Maintains and updates recruitment and marketing materials for the program and the center.
- Assists in marketing and publicity of the program to providers and other partners.
- Identifies and contacts potential patient advisory council members and qualitative research participants.
- Obtains written consent for the study and refer participants to appropriate resources for questions regarding consent.
- Schedule Patient Advisory Council meetings for participants.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, events, interviews, appointments and takes meeting minutes/notes.
- Assists team in overseeing the collection of materials needed for report submissions and other investigator related activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: OR Combination of college course work and work experience to equal eight (8) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of quantitative and qualitative collection techniques.
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite programs particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
- Familiarity with clinical and public health research terminology and conduct.
- Highly developed organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with recruitment and retention activities.
- Experience with research data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work independently and with a team while managing multiple task at the same time.
