Role Summary


Join our team as a Reservations Agent and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge du Soleil family, you will be responsible for, serving the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by responding to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, cable, fax, or through a reservation system.


Pay Range


$21 - $24 + Incentive


Key Responsibilities


Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Communicates reservation information to the front desk
  • Makes arrangements for clients travel programs
  • Credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation
  • Is well versed in;
  • Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the house
  • Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing
  • Is aware of all front office procedures and assist with reception duties when required
  • Assists in preregistration activities when appropriate
  • Processes advance deposits on reservations
  • The type of rooms available as well as their location and layout
  • Promotes goodwill by being courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, managers, and fellow employees
  • Prepares letters of confirmation
  • Monitors advances deposit requirements
  • Selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans
  • Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows
  • Processes reservations by mail, telephone, cable, fax or central reservation systems referral, from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents
  • Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel
  • Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations
  • Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk


Required Qualifications


  • Computer literate
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Mathematical problem-solving skills
  • High school graduate, or equivalent
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience in customer service


Preferred Qualifications


  • Ability to communicate in Spanish
  • Hospitality Certificate or Degree
  • Experience in a luxury hotel setting
  • Guest Service / Reservations Sales experience at the Luxury Hotel Level
