- Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
- Performs other related work as needed.
- Primary responsibilities may include neuropsychological test administration and scoring, data entry, participant recruitment and/or scheduling, maintaining equipment and supplies, assisting with developing or amending study protocols, preparing and summarizing data for presentations, and monitoring aspects of the protocol for compliance.
- Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
- Performs biomedical &/or social-behavioral research by administering tests &/or questionnaires following protocols; collecting, compiling, tabulating &/or processing responses; gathering information; &/or assisting in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports.
- This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
- Collects and enters data. Assists in analysis of data and with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Provides routine or standardized laboratory duties by collecting data in support of research projects under direct supervision.
- Assists in aspects of human aging and dementia research including The Communication Bridge Program.
- Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Psychology, Neuroscience, Communications, etc.).
- Relevant research experience.
- Knowledge of research techniques or methods.
- Knowledge in relevant scientific field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
