Description

Company that produces at home testing kits. This role will be working with urine blood and fecal samples, so people will have to be comfortable around all three. The lab assistants will be opening and sorting samples, collecting samples, inputting information into lab information system, verifying patient information, additionally will help cutting and coating the kit samples, as well as collect all samples label and prep them for the techs, as well as enter the kits data into the system when the techs have completed testing.

• Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results.
• Notify his/her supervisor of any possible deviations from documented procedures.
• Open and sort specimens.
• Receive and log in any deliveries of laboratory supplies.
• Enter and verify (accession) all specimen information into LIS (Laboratory Information System)
• All other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.
• Receive and quarantine all specimen packages.
• Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens.
• Assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating.
• Check specimens for acceptance criteria.

Must Haves

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelors in the sciences OR HS Diploma with Experience working in a lab

pipetting experience

Dexterity

Good Attention to detail

Comfort level with handling sensitive samples

Comfort level with using computers (they use Microsoft products)

Ability to read, write, and speak English
