Summary:

• At Reality Labs Research, our goal is to explore, innovate, and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences.
• We are looking for a skilled and motivated Biostatistics expert to join the Hardware team. Our team create devices that drive input and interaction in our AR and VR devices. A successful candidate would be able to design and analyze sensing data and meta data collected with humans in the loop under uncontrolled, in the wild conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and manage complex multimodal physiological datasets.
• Apply signal processing and statistical tools to derive KPIs that drive HW design and assessment.
• Design and analyze data under uncontrolled / wild and naturalistic environments.

Required Qualifications / YOE:

• Experience with sensor failure analysis using proper study design and statistical analysis.
• Understanding of HW and Algorithm failure and root cause analysis, and comfort using the appropriate tools is appreciated.
• 5+ years of experience collecting and analyzing datasets with humans in the loop, which include but are not limited to raw Biosensing data (IMU, PPG, ECG, EMG, etc.).
• Expert in Python and one other statistical programming languages like R and MATLAB.
• 5+ years of experience and/or PhD with experience working with raw sensor data and experimental study design.
• PhD degree in Biostatistics, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience applying advanced statistical analysis to drive real world problems (especially HW development).
• Strong communication and personal skills.
• Experience in the domain of (bio)-signal processing, statistics, analysis, and control theory.
