This Animal Research Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Supporting building program changes. Coordinating the addition of new investigators into the facility. Coordinating the exit of investigators out of the facility
- Coordinating and approving renovations of offices and laboratories within the research facility. Working with research departments, Project Management and Engineering to review proposed renovations. Planning and monitoring the renovation process to ensure completion within established schedule and according to specifications and required building and safety codes
- Scheduling and overseeing moves into and out of the facility. Verifying authorization for equipment removal. Tagging and recording incoming equipment. Scheduling availability of the loading dock and ensuring that services required and preparations for equipment have been arranged
- Coordinating the implementation and/or delivery of specialized ad hoc services or projects related to facilities support, development or construction
- Leading special quality improvement projects on service and operational procedures. Recommending and drafting policies and procedures related to facility development and quality improvements
To qualify, you must have:
- The ability to effectively manage employees and to persuade and negotiate with peer level managers on issues and programs that impact the department
- A high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred
- 5 to 6 years experience is required
- The analytical skills to plan for, design or enhance complex, hospital wide systems and programs, resolve problems requiring a comprehensive and state of the art awareness of the technology and literature in a professional, technical or scientific field, or develop financial and operating plans for a large department
