The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

We seek to advance scientific and technological innovations in biogas, green hydrogen and carbon capture among others.
The researcher will support this goal by developing, validating, and document analytical methods and operating procedures according to specific sample or testing requirements. The role requires hands-on experience in chromatography, spectroscopy instruments and other associated techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work within a multidisciplinary and international team including internal and external partners such as R&D counterparts globally and Original Equipment Manufacturers
- Ensure the transfer of the results to operations; support industrialization phase
- Prepare, or assist in the data treatment of analytical results, evaluate the significance of data, prepare presentations and/or reports for internal and external partners and customers
- Contribute significantly to site safety initiatives, processes and practices
- Design, build and operate experimental setups in accordance with Air Liquide safe practices.
- Assist in maintaining compliance to the standards, as well as developing new, or improving existing, SOPs.
- Work with a diverse team of engineers and scientists to achieve R&D deliverables
- Support evaluation of analytical devices, including definition of figures of merit and performance criteria
- Define, execute, and document all aspects of a project while meeting internal and client timelines
- Develop analytical methods using instruments such as NDIR/FTIR, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS
- Interface with marketing, industry partners, and customers to understand immediate/strategic analytical needs.
- Use analytical background to evaluate emerging technologies.

Are you a MATCH?
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related science
- Experience working on interdisciplinary topics and with strong ability to interact efficiently in an international environment.
- Expertise and hand-on experience with multiple analytical techniques such as GC, NDIR/FT-IR, MS, moisture analysis, ICP-MS and related techniques
- Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times.
Preferred
- Experience in gas handling
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivation with ability to define and solve problems in collaboration with AL business partners and external partners and customers.
- Understanding of LabView, AutoCAD and design of experiments (DOE)
- Strong command of English language, verbal and written
- Ability to work under minimal supervision .
- 3+ years of industrial experience
- Self-starter and results driven; able to deliver despite challenging obstacles by taking calculated risks and showing flexibility with respect to changing conditions/priorities;
- Ability to collect and organize data and to recognize problems that could impede completion of a project
Working Conditions
- Position requires up to 10% travel, domestic and international
