GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Replenishment Manager – Walmart position works closely with the Walmart replenishment team and Schwan’s Company’s internal supply and demand planning team to ensure maintenance of excellent store level in-stock rates and inventory flow while maximizing efficiencies within the supply chain. This position oversees all replenishment functionals for Walmart’s US stores and eCommerce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the company’s inventory and service level/in-stock position to ensure smooth flow of merchandise in and out of distribution centers and stores.
- Other Duties as assigned
- Primary focus on driving sales and profits through innovative replenishment approaches, industry knowledge and technical expertise to ensure store level inventories are in line with the company’s objectives
- Identify current and potential in-stock and OSA opportunities and work with teams to deploy solutions to protect clients from lost sales.
- Establish and maintain a partnership with the Walmart replenishment manager in the development of strategic plans for replenishment insights within the customer relationship.
- Utilize and understand customer specific systems that include Walmart’s Retail Link aswell as other related systems.
- Create efficient ways of working through global supply chain process, direct store delivery teams, transportation, and distribution channels.
- Aggressively manage unproductive inventory, identify trends, and develop recommendations to correct issues and analyze inventory levels and optimize return on investment of retail inventory across multiple product lines.
- Analyze distribution center/store level inventory and customer forecast to ensure in-stock objectives are met. Gain alignment between customer and/or internal client stakeholders on sales forecast.
- Provide clear indication of potential challenges or opportunities related to inventory and inventory pipeline.
- Lead bi-weekly forecasting in-person collaboration meetings with Walmart Replenishment, focus on surety of supply and forecast alignment, to ensure order efficiency and maximize in-stock.
- Analyze internal and external data to maintain high level shipment forecast accuracy and evaluate, analyze, and report sales patterns and trends to Walmart Sales team and Supply Chain on a weekly basis.
- Key point of contact with Walmart Corporate for all store replenishment issues, strategies and initiatives and collaborate with Walmart replenishment teams to drive corporate replenishment issues and ensure all key replenishment metrics are met.
- Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct
- Effectively influence key stakeholders to gain support for replenishment strategies to enhance product availability. Collaborate with internal Supply & Demand team on all inventory flow plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in business operations or similar degree
Years of Related Experience: 3+ years of Walmart supply chain network and transportation experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), SAP, Retail Link, Outlook
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a multicultural environment
- Intimate knowledge of how Walmart’s GRS system works
- Experience with Walmart Retail Link reporting system and CPFR with an understanding of the retail community preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent visionary, strategic and courageous leadership skills with focus on results
- Strong thinking and problem-solving skills which can be applied to business processes with a "can-do" attitude. Approaches challenges with curiosity and creativity
- Persistent and motivated to achieve results
- Leverages appropriate amount of data to make solid decisions to drive business forward
