The Loan Servicing Compliance Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring and directing the activities of the servicing compliance team to ensure timeliness and accuracy of day to day operations. Provide compliance support for mortgage servicing operations. Responsible for ensuring that the Mortgage servicing compliance staff are adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. Manage performance levels of the staff through routine loan level reviews, consistent feedback, and recommend additional cross-training and self-led training when needed. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $91,500 to $95,500.

What you’ll do:

  • Effectively communicate compliance exceptions and required resolutions to appropriate business unit management.
  • Assist in the resolution of compliance and servicing related issues.
  • Perform ad-hoc reviews as requested by senior leaders as needed.
  • Stay abreast of all laws and procedures applicable to the mortgage servicing industry and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Handle escalated issues presented by compliance staff. Escalate any concerns as needed to the Director or above.
  • Coordinate materials for servicing compliance audits and examinations.
  • Provide management with documented findings and identify training opportunities.
  • Provide reporting to management of associate performance and department key performance indicators.
  • Conduct one-on-one performance assessments with staff to identify strengths and areas of opportunity on a frequent basis not less than monthly. Recommend additional training as needed.
  • Perform trend analysis and develop reports for Senior Management. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee the testing performed by the Servicing Compliance team ensure compliance with the all federal laws and regulations, state laws, and company’s policies and procedures.
  • Reviews results of continuous and targeted testing to ensure all data is accurate prior to reporting.
  • Identify process efficiencies and adjust work assignments accordingly.
  • Communicates issues with subject-matter-experts and monitors corrective action through resolution. Assists with communicating/training with subject-matter-experts and monitors corrective action until issues are remedied.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the servicing compliance staff to ensure department meets performance expectations; including but not limited to work distribution, facilitation or coordination of staff training.
  • Performs more in-depth reviews as needed to determine the magnitude of any identified issues.

What you’ll need:

  • Professional demeanor, including ability to use tact and sound judgment in contact with individuals within and outside the organization.
  • Eight (8) or more years in a compliance related role in the mortgage industry.
  • Understanding of the workflow for the mortgage servicing process.
  • Strong working knowledge of loan servicing.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of mortgage servicing and related compliance requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and vendor information
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state compliance regulations, including RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, and ECOA.
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Visio.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year in a management level job with two or more direct reports.
