Remote: Grant Research Specialist

This is a remote position.
Basic Function: The Grant Services Research Specialist seeks out and identifies grant funding programs and compiles application needs. These programs may be at the corporate, foundation, federal, state, or local level. The position also matches client funding needs to the funding program requirements.
Position’s Intention: This role ensures we continue to provide appropriate opportunities with those that are most likely to be awarded to client applications. Developing client success is imperative.
Success Measurements: Appropriate matching, timeliness, customer appreciation

• Regularly submit research articles to grant writing team for review and keep track of the rate of success.
• Create reputation as the in-house resource for grant funding content research.
• Produce timely and high-quality funding opportunities, deliver these opportunities through reports to be used both internally and externally.
• High efficiency in searching funding opportunity databases across multiple online platforms.

Principal Responsibilities

• Through research provide updates on trends in grant funding opportunities.
• Maintain an openness to take on new research opportunities as needed.
• Work in tandem with ETS lead grant writer to provide the most successful grant funding opportunities.
• Responsible for working with the grant writers to conduct research for clients’ targeted need or field of study.
• Outstanding communication skill and achievement of search requests.
• Research new grant funding opportunities at the corporate, foundation, federal, state, or local level
• Help the grant writers find academic journals and reputable sources that can be used in grant narratives to support the client's objectives.
• Prepare coherent and organized written materials and graphics to help the grant writer complete the grant applications.
• Prepare grant funding opportunity reports to be given to the client and grants team to assist in deciding grant strategy for the client.
• Collect information, record the opportunity, and provide analysis on funding opportunities.
• Maintain templates to be used with future clients and follow all industry standards.
• Provides feedback on company processes as the division grows.

Requirements Working knowledge of the grants field. Strong Research and Problem-solving capabilities. Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required. Interpersonal and soft skills that motivate trust, teamwork and transparency.

• Ability to locate funding sources not readily available or specifically targeted.
• Highly organized and exceedingly detail orientated.
• Ability to understand and interpret funding needs and requirements, including understanding budgets.
