Job Description
Summary Manages an independent portfolio of retail deposit and loan customers. Serves customers by providing trusted banking advice, processing a variety of banking transactions, opening new accounts and researching and resolving problems in a manner which promotes and maintains positive customer experiences and relationships; and promotes the Bank’s culture, including the support of our Brand promise and Core Values by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Is proficient with all required computer systems.
  • Follows all policies and procedures.
  • Efficiently opens all retail products and services for customers.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor by connecting people to their dreams through meaningful conversations and by providing relevant banking advice.
  • Seeks opportunities to develop new banking relationships from his or her own network and from the community.
  • Serves as the assigned officer for an independent portfolio of deposit and loan customers. Is responsible for the maintenance of that portfolio including overdraft decisions.
  • Conducts transactions on behalf of customers.
  • Ensures customers are informed and comfortable using our products and engaging with our technologies.
  • Works with assigned teams to complete bank projects.
  • Assists customers with all service requests including but not limited to: account and statement Research, safe deposit box access, rate and yield quotes, night deposit agreement initiation and processing, lost or stolen cards and transaction disputes.
  • Ensures accuracy for new accounts and makes corrections as necessary
  • Suggests the correct products and services in accordance with the customer’s needs and desired outcomes.
  • Meets or exceeds deposit and loan goals as established by manager and Retail Administration.
  • Calls on prospects and customers outside of the banking center to establish new relationships or deepen existing ones.
  • Follows through on all referrals and refers business to our commercial, insurance and investments partners.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree preferred; minimum two to three years banking platform experience preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use basic office machines. Ability to learn bank-specific software such as nCino, IBS, etc.

Other Skills
An individual should have strong working knowledge of all deposit and loan products and services. An individual should also have strong working knowledge of legal entities and instruments such as sole proprietorships, non-profit businesses, LLC’s, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, power of attorney, IRA’s and HSA's. Individual must be flexible and able to travel to assigned Banking Centers to fill staffing needs with or without notice.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
