Rehabilitation Aide - League City Campus (25 Hours/Wk, Partial Benefits)

Assists licensed physical, occupational therapists, physical and occupational therapy assistants and students in all aspects of treatment in order to maximize each patient’s functional ability.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school or equivalent. No experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with patients in a rehab environment or education in a rehab-related field preferred.

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

• Files, answers and makes telephone calls, performs departmental copying.
• Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner
• Communicates verbally and in written form with therapists, assistants, students, customers, volunteers and other aides to maintain efficient workflow.
• Receives, distributes, and restocks supplies.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Maintains clean working environment.
• Maintains linen, disinfects equipment, sterilizes equipment, and tracks reusable supplies.
• While under direct supervision of the treating therapist, the rehabilitation aide will assists with direct patient care relative to patient’s age, culture, and condition
