Physical Therapist Aide - Outpatient Rehab Therapy

Performs the essential duties and the primary functions of a physical therapist (PT) aide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: cleaning and organizing work area and disinfect equipment after treatment; observe patients during treatment to compile data on patients' responses and progress, and report to physical therapists and assistants (PTAs); motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of PTs and PTAs; secure patients into or onto therapy equipment; report treatment given and equipment used; perform clerical duties, such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephones, taking messages, and filling out forms; maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories; administer modalities; change linens, such as bed sheets and pillow cases; arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order; assist patients to dress, undress, and put on and remove supportive devices, such as braces, splints, and slings.
