If you are interested in contributing to our mission of helping people live the healthiest lives possible- come join our team!
Unit Information:
The hands-on nature of a hospice nurse’s work branches far beyond simply providing physical care for a patient. Hospice nurses are calm, attentive and provide expert symptom management. They carefully guide the patient and their family through the journey of end-of-life care. Through this journey, a powerful and unique bond forms that nurses can use to help coordinate improved care efforts for their patients. The IPU nurse is an expert in complex symptom management, knowledgeable in end-of-life education, and remains compassionate in a fast paced environment. Their critical thinking and keen attention to detail will help these nurses navigate the rapidly changing hospice patient’s and/or family needs. The hospice nurse’s assessment skills are key to success. It is also important that the hospice nurses have a strong self-care understanding in this demanding and emotionally draining environment.
