- Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
- Identify hiring needs, select, train new salespeople, communicate job expectations, performance reviews and enforcing policies and procedures
- Focus RSEs on weekly performance metrics: ensure they know the data, where to access data and how they are being measured
- Forecast quarterly and annual sales and profits
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
- Focus on core ePac value proposition. Coach team on overcoming price pressure
- Report on regional sales results
- Coach and mentor RSEs into successful team players - customer facing as well as internally facing
- Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility; Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for the team in support of Regional objectives.
- Ensure sales process is followed through Salesforce, evolve Salesforce and selling processes to achieve the highest level of visibility into RSEs daily-weekly-monthly functionality
- Collaborate on annual sales budget for plant and ensure budgets are met or exceeded
- Ensure KPIs are being met on a weekly & monthly basis in order to meet or exceed Regional Sales Team objectives
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
- Conduct monthly, joint-customer visits. Minimum of 1 day per month per RSE (client visits)
- Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
- Contribute regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
- Prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
- Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
- Actively manage AR and enforce ePac policy on same
- Team Building Involvement with Operations and Sales
- Presentation skills required
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Representative, Manager or similar senior sales role
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce.com)
- Relationship building and Team Player
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI, KPIs)
- Basic accounting skills required and fluency in Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Superior motivational and communication skills
- Ability to read, generate reports and market analyses
- Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Business Development or related field)
- 10+ years of related experience in Sales and Managing, Leading Teams
- Flexible Packaging sales experience preferred
