Job Description
The Regional Program Manager is responsible for program administration, management and communications for the IHDEE within the East region in the state. The position reports to the Program Director, Community Engagement. Duties include regional program planning, oversight, implementation, and monitoring of IHDEE activities; project management and evaluation; and oversight of the budget. The goal is to make sure that the local activities align with strategic and program strategies and standards of the IHDEE and its centers. This role works closely with other program managers and Center Directors. This position is off-site and requires travel.
Daily Operations
  • Establishes collaborative relationships with academic and community partners in the region.
  • Provides administrative support for IHDEE program and activities in the region, as needed.
  • Manages grants and contracts of regional vendors.
  • Carries out regional project management and evaluation activities.
  • Coordinates between regional staff, vendors and IHDEE Centers and programs to fulfill contracts, execute event and program logistics.
  • Implements IHDEE activities in the region.
  • Contributes to the development of regional operating budget(s) and manages the budget for assigned regional projects/events and programs.
  • Ensures appropriate use of IHDEE logos, and resources for regional programs and activities.
  • Oversees the planning, management, and evaluation of regional activities for the IHDEE.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • The IHDEE reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Required Skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize duties and work closely with other programs/projects.
  • Experience working effectively with clients from diverse background, with sensitivity to people from diverse communities.
  • Be well organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with a problem-solving approach.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, the Google Suite
  • Literacy and experience with computer office programs (MS Work, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
Required Experience
  • Experience building, leading and mentoring a team of marketing and communications specialists.
  • Extensive experience developing, implementing and analyzing both traditional and social media metrics.
  • Master’s degree in public health, social work, or related field
  • A strong communicator able to interface with a variety of audiences, both external and internal.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in program coordination, management or engagement.
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) with solid understanding of key marketing and communication tools (e.g. Web Content Management Systems, email systems, Google Analytics and other web metrics, Adobe Creative Suite, among others).
  • Knowledge of AP style.
  • Superior management skills, including the ability to advocate for and manage to budget priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-reliant, problem solver and results oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the credibility and poise to present to a wide range of community partners.
  • Proven success at developing and implementing digital marketing and social media strategies to enhance engagement and visibility.
