About this Position:

This position in NAQ MCC Dept works together with key Quality Mgmt. Assoc in each of the NA Plants to drive continuous improvement of quality focused improvement items identified by customer feedback. The 2 key methods/activities to accomplish this: 1) New model audits soon after production startup and 2) Quality Characteristic strengthening/Quality G-Std implementation for areas impacting customer concerns.

Responsibilities include:

  • As part of the MCC team, work together with Japan PPO Associates to understand the current NA condition, develop and help implement G-Std procedures that address the gaps; develop the schedule by KI; conduct plant checks confirming outflow, VQ condition, Plant Quality Improvement activity, IE Role/Resp, Q G-Std implementation, etc.; report the results/do benchmarking continuously; share best practices across the plants.
  • Work with NA Quality Assurance (QA) Department to perform data and trend analysis of vehicle quality metrics to identify common areas across N.A. for plant characteristic strengthening, problem investigations, and resolution activities.
  • Correlate factory needs/requirements as it comes to utilization of the HALO wind tunnel on site at TRC.
  • Based on NA plants new model launch strategy, develop mass production vehicle audit strategy and schedule for the Ki, work with all the Plant IQS Leaders to secure manpower for the audits, coordinate/conduct the audits and report the results to the Plant’s Mgmt. Team

Who we are seeking:

  • Recognized Quality leader within Honda VQ/MQ and/or Manufacturing areas with previous experience in lead roles such as Department/Plant Quality Leader, IE, ACIE, VQ Manager. 15+ year’s experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate and collaborate with associates of all levels.
