Job Description

Calling all Recruiters with HR admin experience and/or Accounting & Finance experience we want to connect! ~ Washington, D.C. area ~ $100k-120k, great benefits, room for growth


My client is seeking its first Recruiter to serve as a founding member of a best-in-class talent function. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Recruiter will be responsible for the full-lifecycle recruitment of CPAs and other select firm leadership roles. In partnership with the Chief People Officer, the Recruiter will establish and improve Talent Acquisition (TA) systems and processes, optimizing our hiring practices and improving key TA performance indicators over time.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor talent pipeline analytics, taking action against poor conversion rates and opportunities to improve funnel throughput.
  • Fully own the candidate experience throughout the hiring process, delivering a high NPS, red carpet experience
  • Manage and administer candidate experience surveys to gather feedback; Ensure candidate NPS of 70+ regardless of hiring status
  • Produce post-interview notes that are robust and provide relevant data to substantiate decisions
  • Become a power user of our ATS, running reports to check progress against goals, and ensuring all data is effectively captured
  • Cultivate connections with other recruiters and keep a pulse on what’s happening in the industry and at different companies to get ahead of key strategic and/or competitive opportunities
  • Effectively present, negotiate, and execute offer letters in partnership with HR.
  • Evaluate talent via screening interviews; demonstrate excellent interview skills that lead to effective top-of-funnel selection
  • Help establish new partnerships and relationships with universities or other institutions to provide a new influx of talent.
  • Set the tone and be the culture driver for our people-first Talent team
  • Partner closely with Managing Partners and HR leaders at regional firms to learn regional cultures and write effective job descriptions and scorecards
  • Build a robust pipeline of diverse, high-quality candidates for Tax Senior, Manager, and Senior Manager roles
  • Foster long-term relationships with high-performing talent at competitive firms and know who may be looking for opportunities
  • Learn and leverage the Who Method for Hiring
  • Create effective, efficient outbound outreach methods to attract candidates through email, LinkedIn, and other job posting sites
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills to align and motivate a variety of key stakeholders across Ascend HQ and regional hubs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Attention to detail and good judgment
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communications skills
  • Power user of an ATS (e.g., iCIMS)
  • Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
