Job Description
Role Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Employee Experience, the Recruiter will be exposed to most recruitment and onboarding-related projects and procedures. The Recruiter is a critical role to the strategic workforce planning and recruitment support for the future hiring initiatives as well as the full life cycle recruitment of all roles within the VIP network, but special attention and weight given to our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technician requisitions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a continuous process improvement (CPI) mindset to improve upon current policies, procedures, and metrics
  • Oversee all administrative functions in the DVM and Vet Tech recruitment process, including managing open requisition accuracy, screening submitted resumes, interview scheduling, conducting interviews, adjustments to job postings, creation of offer letters, and onboarding admin functions
  • Balance short and long-term strategic goals, including campus recruiting / internship program management, conventions, HR related projects and business expansion support through recruitment
  • Experienced with competency as well as behavioral based interview methods
  • Responsible for local and regional based recruitment support that span the US with many different skillsets
  • Be an authentic employee who lives the values, inspires, and facilitates others to contribute to collective results
  • Strong sales mentality to identify, source and pre-screen talent nationwide

  • Responsible for the execution and support of the DVM and Vet Tech recruitment strategy, inclusive of administrative support for the field leadership team.
  • Working to build and maintain talent pipelines for repetitive skillsets
  • Have the ability to hold a flexible schedule to support various time zones
  • Responsible for implementing National Talent Acquisition strategies to source a qualified and diverse candidate pool
  • Attend conferences, recruitment events, and professional events to develop a candidate pipeline. Live and in-person attendance required (travel involved).

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience supporting hiring managers with a proactive recruitment partnership approach
  • Will consider candidates with veterinary experience and who are interested in a Talent Acquisition role
  • Experienced in hiring master’s degree and/or Doctorate candidates preferred
  • Required knowledge and experience working with ATS and Salesforce or other applicant tracking systems preferred
  • Experience in outreach sourcing required
Benefits
Starting salary ranges from $70-90,000 annually commesurate with experience.
