Job Description
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

The receptionist position is the opportunity to be the face of the clinic. As the receptionist, you are typically the first and last person that a client will have contact with at the clinic. Also, you are typically the first contact for new clients, whether through a phone call or in person. This being said, it is critical that any patient and client have an exceptional experience when in contact with our staff and at our facility. The job of a receptionist is less checklist-driven and more customer service-driven. Examples of Exceptional Customer Service include, but are not limited to:

  • Make sure the parking area is clean and looks good.
  • Attaching results to Vet Managed software and contacting clients with results
  • Remember how long patients have waited in a room and checking in on them throughout their stay at the clinic.
  • Answering phones by the second or third ring.
  • Getting dogs out of the lobby for clients to fill out paperwork in an exam room.
  • Selling and promoting products and services on our shelves or in the clinic.
  • Greeting every client in the lobby (with a smile) when they first walk in.
  • Getting cats in an exam room as quickly as possible.
  • Being knowledgeable and efficient with our member programs, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and receipt-making processes.
  • Be empathetic to the clients. Always think of being in the owner's shoes.
  • Make sure the exam rooms and lobby are clean from hair, dust, bodily fluids, and otherwise presentable for all clients with our state-of-the-art medical facility.
  • Making the vet visit as stress-free as possible.
  • Offering water or other beverages to those waiting, including the pets.

We will consider both full and part-time applicants (8 hour shifts). Working locations are both in Meridian and Boise. These are on sight positions. Competitive pay and benefits (full time) offered. Feel free to email with questions as well. A positive team environment improves the life of all pets we see so their people can be happy and healthy too.
