We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Receptionist role.
The Receptionist for Snider Fleet Solutions will serve as the first point of contact for guests coming to the Corporate Headquarters. Will greet and welcome visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and manage general inquiries. Maintains reception area, handles basic clerical duties, including mail and deliveries.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
  • Managing inquiries: handle inquiries from visitors or callers, providing information about the organization, its services, or directing them to the appropriate resources.
  • Handling basic clerical duties: assist with tasks like photocopying, filing, and organizing documents to support the smooth functioning of the office.
  • Displaying professionalism and excellent communication: represent the organization and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional demeanor.
  • Maintaining the reception area: ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable. May also handle tasks such as managing visitor sign-in/out processes and issuing visitor badges.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks: provide administrative support to various departments or individuals, such as typing documents, data entry, or maintaining records.
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
  • Greeting and welcoming visitors: responsible for providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests, clients, or employees visiting Snider Fleet Solutions.
  • Answering and directing phone calls: handle incoming calls, forward them to the appropriate individuals or departments, and provide basic information or assistance as required.
  • Responsible for opening and closing Corporate Headquarters daily.
  • Maintaining security and confidentiality: play a crucial role in maintaining security protocols, ensuring authorized access to the premises, and safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings: assist with scheduling of conference rooms and meeting preparation including organizing refreshments.
  • Oversight of general office functions: including ordering of supplies, printer, copier and other office equipment supplies and maintenance.
  • Handling mail and deliveries: responsible for sorting and distributing incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to the appropriate recipients within the organization. Coordinate supply ordering for mail and delivery accounts.
This position is based at the company’s corporate office. The majority of this position will consist of normal office tasks and interaction amongst peers and Snider branches. Overnight and out of market travel to other Snider locations and customers is less than 25%. When traveling to Snider locations, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate to high.
Our Ideal Candidate
Education or Experience:
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Associate's Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years' experience within the industry or a related position.
Certificates And Licenses
  • Valid Class C Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to use all necessary office equipment, scanner, facsimile machines, calculators, postage machines, copiers, etc.
  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities.
  • Understanding of invoicing and billing procedures.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills, as well as, close attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and client base.
  • Sensitivity to all confidential matters.
