Job Description

Our client is Multi-Family and Commercial Real Estate Asset Management company that has multiple apartments and commercial buildings across the United States. Our client is looking for a game-changing General Manger to join their executive leadership team. This position will be focused on advancing the business by supporting operational and functional leaders in daily business and during times of integration, divestiture, and closure. This position is a strategic business partner key member of the Business Leadership Team.


The General Manager (GM) will service multiple needs including but not limited to assistance in: business development, primary supervision and oversight of all market specific staff both digitally and in person via regular and frequent property visits in the market; at market specific levels oversight of maintenance & operations, oversight of leasing & marketing, budge development/monitoring/enforcement, process development & implementation related to maintenance & operations, leasing performance and monitoring/adjustments. As a member of the senior leadership team, frequent interaction and involvement with other Managers and Supervisors will be standard.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for support for market specific leasing metric management, monitoring and accountability to the CRO and CEO as well as the Leasing Manager, as applicable.
  • Development support of all monitoring, accountability, and performance metrics of all market specific staff.
  • Collaborate with Market President to address all significant budget variances and develop immediate plan of action.
  • Develop systems that are both scalable and repeatable (e.g. multiple regional operations, franchising/licensing).
  • Support all business development efforts with support and assistance from CRO and CEO. Responsible for support in managing activity and output of all market specific staff.
  • Monitor internal compliance on all technician related information and files.
  • Assist in determining capacity utilization necessary to effectively perform work required while limiting both over and under extension impacts.
  • Maintain general compliance from a governmental/legal, lease/contract, safety and all other enforceable items.
  • Assist CFO and CEO in formulation of pro forma annual property budgets by assigned deadline individual property budgets on an ongoing basis as frequently as required for effective performance.
  • Support systems for metric and analytical processes.
  • Ultimate backup and supporting authority and responsibility for all action and output of market specific staff.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: Prefer 5-year background in property management or 5-year background in entrepreneurial heavy change and growth environment
  • Analytical and detail oriented Organized and structured.
