React / React Native Developer

As a React/React Native Developer at Leverege, you’ll be at the forefront of the tech industry, building first-of-their-kind, user-centered Internet of Things (IoT) interfaces for diverse use cases across industries. You’ll have the opportunity to use your skills and experience right away, working with a high performing, cross-functional team of system architects, product engineers, and product designers.

In this technical role, you’ll be responsible for architecting and building polished, human-centered user interfaces and connecting them via internal APIs to the Leverege IoT Platform back-end; interacting with both our in-house and third-party SDKs to ship new features and enhance our diverse range of solutions for IoT device management; mentoring junior product engineers, and becoming a key member of the Leverege technical staff.

You must have 2+ years of professional experience; be highly proficient in JavaScript and ES6+, thoroughly experienced with React.js and React Native, have excellent problem solving skills and be comfortable interacting directly with clients at times. Experience with native iOS and Android development, Node.js and GCP/Firebase is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Help release applications to the App Store/Play Store.
• Lead quick turn-around projects and interact with clients as necessary to refine application requirements.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency and promote technical growth within Leverege.
• Support architectural trade-offs and troubleshooting efforts internally.
• Work closely with designers and product managers to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
• Modernize and optimize different mobile or web applications.
• Assist in the implementation of new cloud development and deployment tools for the Leverege IoT Platform ranging from infrastructure, logging, CI/CD, monitoring, and container solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a fast-paced professional setting (startup experience is a definite plus)
• Versioning and configuration management experience, e.g., git, npm, Bitbucket, etc.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a high-interactive, agile development environment with other engineers and product designers
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and organizational principles
• Good organizational skills with working knowledge of software best practices
