Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Quantum Project Manager, you will initiate, track and report the organization’s strategy and initiatives. You are a critical thinker comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will work alongside all levels of management, program managers, product owners, and technical leaders, managing projects and costs throughout the software development life-cycle. You can motivate and guide team members to help improve team efficiency driving complex projects while promoting and instilling an agile culture. Your above-average organizational skills and sound project management methodologies will help you quickly pull together multiple teams striving for a common goal. Your responsibilities include:
Coordinate planning across business and technical requirements to deliver 3rd party integration for run-time-based services.
Manage cross-functional projects setting scope expectations and schedules with the development teams.
Track the execution of work to ensure deliverables align with milestones and timelines.
Responsible for effective communication (announcements, status, blockers, dependencies) with development teams.
Keep track of project financials where needed.
Use sound judgment to perform problem & risk management and develop a mitigation plan.
Roll out product changes (OKR, Road-map management)
This position can be located anywhere in the US.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of demonstrated success managing large complex projects.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, Zenhub, JIRA and other project management tools.
- A self-motivated and driven individual who can work independently as well as in multi-team settings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a flexible mindset and ability to adapt to changes.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience as a software developer a definite asset
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP, PgMP, ITIL)
- Proficient with Airtable, Mural, Keynote.
- Understanding of quantum computing and industry dynamics

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
