Base Salary Pay Range: $82,700-$124,200

This position will work with (but not limited to) operations, maintenance, engineering, logistics, and the business unit to ensure all Q& FS Standards are implemented across the site in order to assure compliance to Mars & Regulatory Standards. Compliance is measured through review meetings, internal audits, training, tracking of KPIs, and escalations as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading/influencing others
• Food safety risk, identification and management, HACCP and prerequisite controls. Knowledge of GMP, food allergens, pest control, sanitation, and food safety regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of GFSI Quality Systems such as SQF, FSSC22000 or ISO9000
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities
• Understanding of key scientific principles associated with food & ingredients
• 3+ years of demonstrated success in manufacturing/ quality experience.
• BS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field
• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or Quality and food safety management system

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related technical field

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Member of Site Food Safety Team

• Facilitate the corrective and preventative action programs in compliance with MARS QMP standards.

  • Manage corrective action programs to ensure compliance and provide direction for improvements.

  • Assure visibility to the CAPA program through review meetings, routine follow-up, and guidance for CAPA owners.

• Back up for PRIMP incident owner
• Implement global Mars standards into the value stream & drive to full compliance
• Manage corrective action programs to ensure compliance and provide direction for improvements.
• Provide Training on relevant Q&FS standards to site associates
• Assure visibility to the CAPA program through review meetings, routine follow-up, and guidance for CAPA owners.
• Drive the site-based internal audit program to ensure all processes and procedures are managed in accordance with corporate Quality and Food Safety Standards, Business Unit QFS directives and FDA regulations. Partnering with BU QMP Team.
• Document Control- Oversee site document control program and assure compliance via timely review and updates as required.
• Internal Audit- Develop and manage an effective site internal auditing program to ensure compliance to FSSC and QMP standards. Assuring local internal auditors have been trained. Ensure completion of internal audits in a timely manner. That site is adhering to the timeline and corrective actions are being implemented to drive compliance and continuous improvement. Act as the site's main point of contact for all questions regarding the internal audit system.
