Quality Engineering Team Leader

Do you have a passion for quality and leading others? Trane Technologies is looking to hire a hands-on Quality Engineering Team Leader at our Clarksville, TN facility. This facility manufactures commercial HVAC products.

If you have quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, then Trane Technologies wants to hear from you. In this role you will provide hands-on quality leadership in developing and implementing quality systems, procedures and plans to drive quality improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Present status of current warranty performance quality improvement projects to local and corporate leadership
• Interact directly with field repair technicians to identify and resolve plant quality issues through our Field Quality Alert system
• Support supplier quality improvements though our SCAR/CAR system.
• Actively lead and participate on problem resolution teams with the plant & corporate teams
• Lead quality incident investigations to identify root cause, perform containment actions, and implements corrective actions to resolve issue.
• Serve as a working leader to solve quality issues that arise from manufacturing, supplier or design issues
• Support the launch of new products through Early Launch Containment planning and execution.
• Drive data collection and analysis of internal and external quality data to for process and product improvements.
• Interpret product specifications to define part sort and rework criteria, including recommendations for repair.
• Lead and direct work of your quality team that consists of quality engineers and quality technicians
• Create and modify control plans for existing and new products including identifying control points, inspection techniques and required gaging to meet control plan objectives.
• Interface with field quality engineering, technical support, and field service representatives to better understand field quality issues to drive improvements
• Responsible for developing and executing a quality improvement strategy that will support the improvement goals for the division on your given product line(s)

Qualifications:

• Leadership experience in coaching and team member development desired
• Quality experience in a manufacturing plant environment
• Bachelors’ degree (Preferable in engineering field) or equivalent experience

Travel:

• Estimated Travel is less than 10%

Work Schedule / Considerations:

• Position is first shift with second shift support as required
• Position is onsite, not remote

Base Pay Range: $77,000 - $125,000
