Stryker is hiring a Quality Engineer in Flower Mound, Texas, home to Stryker Communications! Our communications team is dedicated to optimizing care environments through the iSuite integrated operating room. As part of the Quality team, customers and patients are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you will be supporting our surgical tables portfolio.

Work Flexibility: Hybrid. This role requires reasonable proximity to our Stryker facility. You should be comfortable working three to four days onsite.

What you will do

  • Help develop automated solutions for dashboard and report generation.
  • Supports quality system maintenance by identifying and correcting deficiencies in procedures and practices.
  • Develop, review, and approve inspection plans, routers, and product drawings for new products.
  • Partner with cross-functional project teams to lead product and/or process improvements.
  • Supports the review and filing of Medical Device Reports (MDRs) and international Vigilance Reports.
  • Works closely with Sales Representatives and health care professionals to obtain additional information.
  • Focus on achieving metric goals by prioritizing records (NC/CAPA) and top-quality issues.
  • Provide support and direction for other Staff Quality Engineers
  • Contributes to achieving team performance metrics and goals.
  • Provide technical expertise in data analysis, data preparation and performance monitoring.
  • Utilize standard statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques to determine product acceptance limits, establish process parameters, resolve quality problems, etc.
  • Ask for feedback from project team and peers on performance and expectations; provide feedback as appropriate.
  • Own your own product lines and projects with the support of leadership.
  • Author and peer review Post market plans/reports on products sold worldwide.
  • Learn all test methods for verification and gain experience helping to execute these tests.
  • Collect data from multiple sources such as Trackwise and translate the data into meaningful Power BI Dashboards and visualizations.
  • Great understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and techniques.
  • Demonstrate basic clinical understanding of key procedures and user needs.
  • Communicate quality data (complaints, MDR's) to cross-functional teams.
  • Supports risk management activities to ensure the highest level of product and process quality.

What you need:

Required

  • 0+ years of experience in Quality Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline

Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering preferred.
  • Have a good understanding of engineering and quality concepts/theories.
  • Ability to learn ISO 13485, GDP, GMP concept.
  • High level of PC skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint packages.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a multi-site team, with some travel required.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry preferred.
  • Mechanical Engineer Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Risk Based and statistical concepts.
  • Understanding of Med Device concepts preferred.
