QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

FLSA: Full-time, Salary/Exempt Location: Corporate/Hybrid

Position Summary

This position will assist in leading the QC program including pre-funding and post -close QC to assure that the quality control process occurs in a timely manner and areas representing potential operating deficiencies, errors and omissions, patterns or trends, intentional misconduct or fraudulent activity are documented, reported, investigated, and promptly corrected. This position reports to the SVP of Compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Other tasks as assigned.
• Assist senior management with the developing, implementing, and monitoring corrective action plans to address and resolve findings discovered during the quality control process.
• Coordinate with third-party QC vendor regarding monthly loan reports, random and discretionary file selections, file documents, findings responses, and final reporting.
• Utilize key performance indicators to track effectiveness and team performance.
• Responsible for ensuring the company’s conformance with agency, private investor, and client specific lending guidelines, in addition to regulatory compliance requirements.
• Research, track, and implement new or updated investor or agency guidelines.
• Maintain quality control procedures, including internal QC processes and oversight of third-party quality control.
• Work with Compliance and Operations Teams to identify specific areas for focus and targeted review to ensure corrective actions and findings found during audit, agency or regulatory examinations are addressed in a timely manner.
• Manage the creation of monthly and quarterly reports regarding results, findings and trends.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

• Minimum of 7 years mortgage experience and 5 years of recent quality control experience.
• Must have mortgage underwriting experience and understand DU/LP findings.
