Job Description
What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a Sr. Quality Controls Constructionk Manager to help support Factory infrastructure and construction expansion at the Gigafactory in Nevada.
What You’ll Do
  • Develop and monitor a robust QA/QC processes and standards for the quality program
  • Provide direction to staff and subcontractors for CSA QA/QC needs.
  • Audit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors as often and as necessary to assess conformance with the QA/QC program
  • Coordinate quality issues between the design, construction, and facilities
  • Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the Tesla standards, specifications and applicable codes.
  • Interface between design, construction, and facilities as well as the general construction support
  • Contribute to building a high performing team by mentoring and developing the on-site Construction teams
  • Create metrics to evaluate the quality performance across site projects.
  • Examine all civil, structural and architectural submittals for quality assurance and provide comments to ensure all documents are complete
  • Provide training of personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QA/QC
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in civil, structural, building envelope, and typical underground utilities
  • Knowledge of Codes and Standards (ANSI, AISC, ASCE)
  • BS in Construction Management or Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Experience working with and managing contractors, consultants and vendors
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, hands-on, working environment
