This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and supervising all aspects of Quality Assurance to ensure proper, safe and exceptional operation of the department.
This shift is an evening position, Sunday through Thursday.
Essential Duties:
- Conducting management meetings and training with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives
- Developing initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program
- Maintaining plant quality systems in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs
- Evaluating the contents of reports from product assurance program department heads and confers with top management personnel preparatory to formulating fiscal budget for product assurance program
- Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Supervising a team of technicians
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit (Outlook, Work, Excel)
- 1+ year supervisor experience
- Demonstrates problem solving capabilities
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Experience with Meat & Seafood (preferred)
- Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 5+ years related experience
Compensation for this role is weighted on several factors and ranges from $65-75K base salary.
