Our growth is fueled by individuals who share our passion. Currently, we have an opening for a Laboratory Analyst in our Louisville, CO location.

The ICP-MS Chemist is responsible for analysis of trace metals in blood, urine, and liposomal products using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). In this position you will also act as the Quality Assurance Officer being responsible for maintaining quality documents, ensuring compliance, and having a lead role in audits in a CLIA / ISO 17025 PJLA environment.

Core Responsibilities Include

• Manage workflow to complete job functions in a timely and efficient manner
• Training personnel in ethics and data integrity

• Maintaining quality documents
• Instrument tuning and calibration
• Communicate with clients as needed regarding individual results and general questions
• As the Quality Assurance Officer you will be responsible for:
• Evaluate calibration, QC and client results
• Analysis
• Solve problems relating to instrument and QC failure
• Making sure all laboratory methods are up to date with current validation data.
• Operation and maintenance of the ICP-MS
• Conducting all annual management review activities in coordination with the Laboratory Director.
• Sample prep
• Troubleshooting
• General laboratory housekeeping, assist fellow analysts with overflow work as needed
• Ongoing communication with lab management on workflow and laboratory issues
• Prepare final reports of client blood samples for trace elemental analysis
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols
• Performing annual audits and reviews of laboratory data to ensure that regulations and methods are followed.
• Clean instrument and laboratory glassware
• Prepare and process blood, urine, and liposomal samples for analysis
• Utilize resources as needed - lab personnel, instrument manufacturer or available research and literature.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Office, Word, Outlook)
• Experience using an Agilent 7800-7900 series ICP-MS and Mass Hunter software
• Experience reviewing laboratory data (ICP-MS, HPLC, GC)
• Experience in a lead role in audits in a regulated (CLIA / ISO17025 PJLA) environment.
• 2 years' experience analyzing metals via ICP-MS in a production laboratory setting
• Wet chemistry techniques and chemistry math skills
• ICP-MS maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• BS degree from an accredited program

Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 base salary
