Quality Assurance Quality Control Supervisor

Position Title: QA/ QC Supervisor

Reports: Director of Operations

General Requirements:

• Ensure production employees follow GMPs and company policies.
• Ability to implement inspection procedures and quality protocols both in English and Spanish.
• Hold individuals accountable to perform standard operational procedures by observing workers and coaching to ensure compliance with standards.
• General knowledge of production operations. Perform unannounced pre-op inspections to verify all direct reports are doing their inspections properly.
• Ability to accurately receive and understand ideas, instructions, questions problems and enforce solutions.
• Prepare QC tech and Sanitation tech schedules and coordinates manufacturing and cleaning activities.
• Ability to accurately communicate ideas, instructions, questions, problems, solutions.
• Document Control: In-depth understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes, review, correct and address, non-conformities, pre-ship loads.
• Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality by understanding customer requirements, verifying the requirements are being met, and coaching for improvement.

Responsibility:

• Perform internal audit KPIs, Customer complaint KPI, SCAR KPI, maintenance WO KPI, Noncompliance Record KPI, and Environmental KPIs
• Additional Special requirements:
• Supervises and coordinates all activities related to quality assurance and quality control in operations of finished products.
• Requires considerable, sustained use of eyesight for functions such as visual inspections, reading, measuring, and data analysis.
• Train, teach, and coach new quality control techs, sanitation crew members
• Understands and leads team in executing KPIs
• Inspects work to ensure conformance with specifications defined for finished products.
• Perform employee performance evaluations.
• Document control to ensure all critical limits are within HACCP and USDA compliance.
• Oversee the recruitment, development and support a strong engaged with Sr. Management to execute the organization’s policies and decisions.
• Ability to request supplier supporting documentation, issue SCARS for raw material non-conforming, and respond to customer complaints on a timely manner.
• Verification of quality of final products, equipment calibration and environmental monitoring
• Participate and attend weekly, monthly and by annually senior management meetings and trainings.
• Serve as back-up for QC techs ability to perform pre-operation and operational inspections, monitor employee GMP practices
• Works with production management to ensure that all quality control programs are executed and customer quality requirements are achieved.
• Responsibilities are subjected to change depending on the need of the business.
• Monitor housekeeping to keep rooms clean and organized.
• Must act as a liaison between USDA, FDA federal inspectors and company personnel to ensure that quality of all finished products are maintained.
• The job requires warm to comfortable clothing. Ability to lift, push, and carry 30-50 lbs when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour
