Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager which will report to our President and work closely with our Operations Manager. This position is critical to ensuring our products are made efficiently and accurately.
Summary/Objective
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.
Essential Functions

  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in AS9100 and our quality management system.
  • Coordinates product testing processes, record creation/retention and procedures.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Responsible for effectivity of prior audits and corrective actions.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides problem statement trends in a Pareto graph in order to task cross functional team members to support reducing and removing occurrences in failures in quality (Scrap, NCR, Rework, RMA).
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to Genuine Machine Products entire team.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.

Supervisory Responsibility
Oversees the quality control staff. Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department. Conducts Performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed preferred.
  • Experience as an inspector in an aerospace precision machine shop operation required
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 required
  • Five years' experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Management or combination of them required
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, supplies and materials up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30p.m.
