Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Lead, Duck Creek, you will be responsible for devising test strategies, planning execution parameters, building comprehensive sets of tests, and coordinating testing activities to ensure the Duck Creek system implementation adhered to performance and business requirements. Your expertise in the Duck Creek platform and your meticulous attention to detail will be vital to maintaining a high standard of quality in our insurance operations. Your interpersonal skills and ability to work cross teams and cross boarders will help ensure success on the QA team as a whole.

What you’ll do
  • Test Environment Management Planning: Schedule test environment establishment, configuration, and use. Plan for data sets that will be required for appropriate testing.
  • Test Execution Planning: Build plans for and organize a team around executing test cases and documenting test results, ensuring the system's compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Performance Test Planning and Coordination: Plan and prepare for performance testing to assess the system's stability, scalability, and response time under varying load conditions.
  • Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Test Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Regression Test Planning and Coordination: Perform regression testing to ensure that system changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing module functionalities.
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for the system, ensuring adequate coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Defect Management Planning: Define processes, tools, and strategies for documenting software defects, tracking defect status, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
  • Test Case Development Planning: Build plans for and organize a team around designing and developing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on business requirements, system specifications, and industry best practices.

This might describe you
  • Strong understanding of the insurance industry, with substantial experience in a minimum of two of the modules being implemented/supported
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, and the ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Insurance industry certifications or relevant training in the Duck Creek platform are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Experience in testing the Duck Creek platform, including product configurations, rating structures, forms, workflows, rules, and third-party integrations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role, with a focus on the Duck Creek platform or similar insurance systems or within a regulated industry. Must be in a lead role preferably in a blended on-shore/off-shore operating model.
  • Familiarity of public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable.
  • Demonstrated leadership of an organization of 10+ heads
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques to evaluate system performance and scalability.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, test case development, and test execution for complex enterprise systems.
