Quality Assurance Engineer Jobs

Our client is looking for a quality engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The quality engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.

A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop test plans and cases.
• Attend/conduct meetings with the IT teams, business teams and vendors to discuss testing updates
• Develop a strong understanding of applications to perform adequate testing both manual and automated
• Participate in test plan walk-throughs
• Conduct test planning, test design, test scripting, and manual test execution within the test life cycle.
• Provide demos to business unit for completed functionalities
• Utilize automated testing tools to create automated test scripts for smoke, functional, integration, performance and load testing
• Record, document and ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
• Work in a flexible agile development environment with rapid release cycles.
• Define and document test strategy, test plans and manual/automated test cases based on requirements and technical specifications that will validate organizational standards and user expectation
• Review functional and non-functional design specifications to ensure full understanding of deliverables
• Conduct usability testing
• Report, triage and manage the lifecycle of bugs
• Isolate, reproduce, track defects and verify fixes. Follow proper follow-up and escalation as needed.
• Create metrics/reports to capture test progress for projects and releases
• Identify test acceptance criteria and coordinate occasional UAT/deployment/training activities
• Participate in requirements and design discussions
• Identify and create test data and equipment needed to adequately perform testing
• Coordinate, build and develop test plans for client integrations, product releases and application maintenance
• Consistently follow and support documented QA processes and procedures to ensure a high-quality test approach.
• Familiar with software development life cycle and quality assurance methodologies
• Troubleshoot, document, and assist in root-cause analysis.
• Analyze the test plan results and submit the report to the development team

Qualifications

• Experience working with quality and test case management tools.
• Experience working with Selenium
• Experience working in a team environment using Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum) or Kanban.
• Experience with Functional, Regression, Integration and End-to-End testing of web and mobile applications.
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and verbally.
• Desire and ability to effectively multi-task across projects and responsibilities.
• Experience with Postman
• Successful candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Heavy Automation Experience
• Demonstrate proficiency with QA concepts, issues, methods, and strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in BS\IT or 2-3 years of software development, testing, and/or technical support experience.
• Passionate about product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Experience with C#

Nice to have:

• Experience using Azure DevOps, SQL, and C#.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Test automation frame experience.
• Experience testing web service endpoints, including REST, JSON, and CRUD.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as PostMan or SoapUI.
• Experience working with Azure Dev Opps and Github for tracking issues and integrating with product management and development resources.
