Qc Analytical Chemist Jobs

. The analytical chemist performs a variety of analytical requirements under
limited direction and supervision. In particular operation and maintenance of ICP Instrumentation.

• Performs data analysis, documents and interprets instrumental results against specifications, validity criteria, and alert limits and investigates invalids assays and out of specification results.

· Performs routine and non-routine sample testing using GC, HPLC, UPLC, IR, KF, UV-VIS, AA and melting point
· Prepares samples and Performs trace metal analysis using ICP (OES, MS)
· Develops/validates new methods for testing new or existing products.

• Utilizes the existing document management system

· Working in GMP regulated environment, understands, assesses suitability, and performs USP testing, relating to active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for troubleshooting problems with analytical instruments, and maintains instruments within calibration, with assistance from outside vendors if required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
. Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees

• Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 9001, and other international standards is required.
• Requires a BS in Chemistry with 2-6 years of experience in a Quality setting

· Requires hands-on experience with sample preparation and operation of ICP for trace metals analysis
