Overview
The QA/QC Manager reports to the SVP of Business Operations. The QA/QC Manager is tasked with the development and implementation of a Quality Management System and oversight of the ongoing efforts of the Companies QA/QC plan. Typical duties of the QA/QC Manager include workers training and support on matters related to quality, assurance, identification, mitigation, and documentation of non-conforming items, investigations, inspections, enforcing QA/QC policies, safeguarding inventory, and coordinating training programs related to Quality.
The QA/QC Manager function is critical to the Company's mission to provide a high-quality product for our customers. Critical to the position is ensuring compliance with all manufacturer and customer quality specifications. Essential Functions of the QA/QC Manager are integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery of the Company’s policies, procedures, and programs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Schedule, manage and attend meetings related with Quality issues.
• Manage all nonconformities, identify a resolution, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and analyze project quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist with the development of internal operating policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor/manage deficiencies to quality plan and work to completion.
• Manage the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders.
• Manage and develop a team of QC&A professionals to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
• Distribute relevant QC documentation to site subcontractors.
• Jointly, with Construction and Procurement departments, review meetings of contractual specifications for all materials involved in the project.
• Develop and implement QC&A plans and procedures.
• Responsible for performing the day-to-day maintenance and implementation of the quality plan.
• Perform quality reports and oversee the documentation of QC.
• Ensure project quality control by conducting on-site inspections as needed, coordinating with 3rd party independent engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience in solar (PV) project design or project management and technical development work.
• History of reviewing 30%, 60%, 90% drawings.
• Minimum 5 years of renewable energy Quality experience in Civil/Mechanical is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and proven ability to learn new software programs.
• Self-starter, and naturally motivated to work with a team to accomplish goals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience of working with 3rd party engineers.
• Experience working with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
• Accountability for safety and project execution.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
