Qualifications
Candidate should plan to work a minimum 37.5 hours per week. Prior approval is needed if work will be performed on Booth Holidays. Core hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST, however a staggered work schedule can be arranged with start times from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
This role reports to the PMO office and will be responsible for assisting the project team with testing the SAM/iBid project. The qualified candidate must have broad and deep hands-on experience ensuring that QA proceeds efficiently and effectively in a complex, multi-faceted project environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Conduct software testing, document defects/issues uncovered to assure full understanding and an ability to reproduce the issue, and escalate issues as appropriate
Manage multiple issues simultaneously.
Work within a collaborative team environment to support test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
Test within assigned areas of responsibility (e.g. data migration, business process, integration, etc.).
Analyze user stories/requirements and provide feedback on testability.
Mock-up data in preparation of testing.
Manage/update/maintain requirements, use cases, test cases, traceability matrix, and regression test results, using a variety of tools including Salesforce Agile Accelerator.
Conduct migration testing to verify data integrity, functional, and non-functional aspects of the application.
Support users by reproducing and investigating issues identified in UAT and production.
Document system defects in appropriate systems such as Agile Accelerator and track to closure.
Assisting with the testing lifecycle of the new SAM/iBID application
From the given requirements, writing thorough test scripts and test cases to fully test system features and functions
Using SQL to query the system databases to test back-end processes, feed, flows and integrations
Using manual and exploratory testing to find defects before they are deployed to production
Working with the Booth IT Development Team to debug and resolve defects
Identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects in the software
Attending daily project stand-up meetings and other Agile ceremonies
Attending other meetings with the project team members as needed
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance testing of software applications including analyzing and understanding business and technical requirements, building positive/negative test data.
Experience working on Agile software development projects
Experience will all aspects of the Software Development Testing Lifecycle and various types of software application testing
Understanding of the software development lifecycle
Proficiency with testing backend processes such as system/data flows, feeds and APIs
Proficient at writing SQL query join statements
Ability to communicate with Booth IT Application Development team to thoroughly explain and identify defects
Experience with automated software testing tools, preferred but not required
Good oral and written communication skills
Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach required.
Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly understand application features and requirements to perform testing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
