Rotating Manufacturing Schedule.

The Quality Assurance On the Floor Supervisor leads a team of QA On the Floor Specialists as they support internal customers with interpretation and application of Lonza policies and procedures with regard to GMP documentation and related manufacturing activities. Quality On the Floor provides Quality Assurance support real-time for all areas within Lonza Portsmouth indirectly or directly involved in the execution of GMP-related activities. The supervisor trains the team and leads them in providing support and quality reviews. The supervisor leads the process for delegation of floor coverage and meeting timelines. The supervisor supports when escalation is required and is able to make decisions associated with manufacturing activities and GMP documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Real time review of executed batch records on the floor. Support manufacturing with all quality needs. Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, MSAT, eBR, and Controls to ensure quality aspects of process are maintained. Supports escalations internally and externally as required. Continuously improves alignment across assets and QA functional groups.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, and cGMP regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide general direction for department. Work with Manager to set and successfully meet team goals. Support continuous improvement, team efficiencies, innovative thinking and track progress to final completion. Oversee training, mentoring, and development of QA On the Floor Specialist in Quality principles. Conduct objective setting and regularly scheduled sessions with individuals of team to review objectives, provide feedback and provide guidance for personnel advancement. Interview and hire personnel to provide responsible, experienced people to carry out job function.
• Manage and track performance indicators and represent department at site meetings and attend other meetings when requested.

Key Requirements:

• 5-10 years of GMP experience
• 0-4 years of Supervisory experience
• High School diploma, Bachelor’s preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of GMP’s and regulations. Seasoned professional who is technically independent and maintains knowledge of quality systems.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication skills both written and verbal applied at all levels. Effectively manages challenging workloads and changing priorities. Is a role model for the team. Is adept at communicating and implementing strategic and tactical solutions. Holds self and others accountable in achieving goals. Champions excellent customer service for all internal and external customers.
