Title: Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, FL (Remote)

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Must be able to pass a full background check

The candidate selected shall telework as long as the candidate resides within the State of Florida. The candidate will also be required to attend on-site meetings in Tallahassee as necessary.

Scope of Services

This scope of work is for consulting services to provide a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Experience

Required:

• Bachelor of Science/Arts degree preferred.
• An AA or AS degree from an accredited community college and 1 year of relevant Quality Assurance technical experience.
• 3+ years’ relevant Quality Assurance technical experience including systems development, testing and/or business experience can substitute for the required education.

Preferred:

• Experience in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication.
• Experience working with Agile methodology.
• Experience in Quality Assurance processes.
• Experience working with Florida’s Early Learning Coalitions.
• Experience creating clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases.
• Experience in automated testing.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Experience working with state government.

Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the following:

• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of system test requirements.
• Writing test cases/scripts and maintain involvement in test case automation and execution.
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
• Facilitate test plan review and use case meetings with development teams and key stakeholders.
• Understand the project requirements and project goals and use that understanding to produce deliverables.
• Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
• Integrate evaluation and improvements into the business process to address the business needs.
• Provide demonstrations on fully tested features for user acceptance testing.
• Participate in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders, as necessary.
• Perform quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.
• Collect and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements.
• Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant.
• Document all problems and assist in the resolution.
• Research and maintain knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the project/team.
