Job Description
Stellar Management is looking for a Purchasing Manager to report into our Accounting department. This person will handle our procurement, inventory control, preventative maintenance, and work closely with our property level staff and Property Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing work, projects, policies, and standards for Purchasing Across Departments
  • Manages vendor performance, negotiating or renegotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors, as necessary.
  • Research and evaluate vendors/contracts to ensure they are in compliance with government regulations.
  • Oversees the planning and management of product flow as well as distribution of supplies within the organization.
  • Assists Accounting department in maintaining controllable costs.
  • Enforces item use-up with management to keep inventory at lowest level possible levels.
  • Communicates with Office Manager to ensure timing of deliveries satisfies any production needs.
  • Checks invoice on goods received against shipment to ensure quantity, quality and purchase specifications are as ordered.
  • Supports accurate administration of all invoices, and adherence to proper bookkeeping procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings or improvement on purchasing methods/processes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Purchasing or a related field
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related major
  • Demonstrated understanding of forecasting and budgeting
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems

Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000, depending upon experience. There is also a performance-based bonus associated with this role.
