Purchasing Buyer Jobs

Wartech is looking for someone to join our purchasing team. This position involves following a bill of material to purchase hundreds of parts per Project/Job. The applicant must have experience with purchasing. Wartech Engineering is a fast-paced environment and quality driven by military standards.

Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned
• Initiate Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
• Lead time tracking – communicating issues to management
• Answer main office phone as needed
• Report to Procurement Manager
• Seek out and procure vendors
• Obtain multiple quotes from vendors
• Understand Bill of Materials; tracking updates and revision changes
• Create accurate POs based on received quotes
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and QuickBooks
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
• Be familiar with Defense Priorities Allocation System (DPAS) rating system, FARS & DFARS flow down requirements for each job
• 2-5 years experience
