Stateside Electronics (SSE) is looking for a Purchasing Administrator (PA) to join our team. The PA functions as a frontline representative to maintaining successful relationships with our vendors. In This Role You Will:
- Periodically update your supervisor (Purchasing Director [PD]) and report on our vendor partner’s (supplier’s)satisfaction, our partner’s performance, product performance, especially on reliability and up-time.Constructively report issues and defects about SSE and their vendors so services and products can improve.
- Purchase products and services that will be resold through the company. To be effective, this effort will include receiving quotation requests, creating quotations, distributing quotation(s) to account manager(s) and/or customer(s) accordingly. Additionally, the person in this role will assist with requests for: RMA’s, repairsand/or returns. This role will have no direct contact with customers regarding sales and/or order inquiries,allowing the person in this role to focus their efforts on their responsibilities and maintain a workflow that isefficient and supportive.
- Address all product and system-related queries on time, work with the SSE team to resolve any issues, and provide effective communication through the process.
- Work collaboratively with others at SSE to identify the necessary strategic long-term and short-term technical services and products to achieve the overall success of the company.
- Maintain the persona of an experienced professional, focusing on success for all engagements, providingexpertise in mapping requirements to solutions that can be fulfilled and supported by SSE.
You’re a great fit if you have:
- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of related experience
- Excellent logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
- Must be adaptable and have a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven work experience in administrative support, especially that focused within operations, supply chainmatters, manufacturing and/or distribution or relevant field. Solid technical knowledge with hands-onexperience in digital technologies. Possess the ability to communicate effectively with the SSE team (i.e. systemtechnicians, product designers, project managers), and have the ability to translate this knowledge as needed.
- Ability to work as required within different time zones.
- Project a professional image and demonstrate business acumen; driven to succeed. Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude. Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and coordination. Be a self-starter while also being able to take direction and pivotbetween projects as necessary.
- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to express a sense of urgency as needed. Possess the ability to multi-task as there will be multiple quotations/tasks being processed at anygiven time.
You’re interested in more details:
- The office you will support is based in Northern Virginia. This is a bonus if you live in this area. However, this position can work remotely, so we are open to California residents and Washington (Seattle area) residents.
- Our hours have some flexibility, but ideally your workday should align to east coast working hours… earliermornings and calling it a day in the mid-afternoon. No weekends.
- Compensation is $52,000 or higher (DOE). There is PTO and 50% health insurance premium paid. As we grow,we plan to add more benefits.
- This role is an individual contributor who is primarily focused on the security electronics industry – think pro video cameras, high-tech recorders, interesting mics, and other equipment that supports security and safety.
