Your Role
The Provider Scheduling and Support Specialist will provide hands-on support to aptihealth providers and members in scheduling and confirming appointments. They will initiate a range of member-contact, including reaching out to members scheduled for diagnostic interviews, reaching out to those on the waiting list in the event of cancellations, and reaching out to confirm appointments to reduce the number of no-show appointments. In this role, you will continually check provider schedules and coordinate schedule openings with member availability, reducing the waiting period before the member’s initial appointment. The Provider Scheduling and Support Specialist is a vital part of the team and will impact both provider and member satisfaction.
Responsibilities

• Reach out to schedule member appointments as provider schedules change
• Coordinate member initial appointments with provider schedules
• Ensure aptihealth members are welcomed into the care journey in a supportive manner and allow the opportunity for members to ask questions
• Utilize and adhere to the phone scripts and guidelines for outreach phone calls
• Provide customer service to aptihealth members through phone calls, emails, and online ticketing systems
• Reach out to members to confirm appointments and follow up regarding rescheduling, as necessary
• Provide diligent and effective support to providers; assist in outreach as requested

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required, Associate degree strongly preferred
• Passionate about being a trusted partner to transform behavioral healthcare
• Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, bilingual a plus
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• 3-5 years related customer service experience required preferably in a medical office or healthcare environment
