  • Schedule and perform training with individual providers, provider groups, office staff, and
  • Analyze data, communicate findings, and facilitate improvement efforts
  • Conduct specialty provider documentation and coding training
  • Conduct pre and post-audit provider documentation and coding training
  • Identify relevant documentation and coding projects
internal departments
  • Assist in the development of coding presentations and coding tools
  • Tracks market documentation and coding issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Surgical specialty coding/education experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading provider training
  • Extensive knowledge of AMA CPT and CMS ICD-10 Guidelines for coding and reporting
  • 5+ years of experience coding/auditing CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS preferred
  • Maintain patient, team member, and employer confidentiality; comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of documentation and coding guidelines established by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the American Medical Association (AMA)
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required, Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) ; Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferred
Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
