Job Description

We are working with a reputable General Contractor in Atlanta looking to expand their Project Management team.


Responsibilities:


Project Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project objectives and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate issues and ensure timely completion.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

  • Prepare accurate project cost estimates and budgets in collaboration with the estimating team.
  • Monitor project expenses, review financial reports, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis, forecast project costs, and provide recommendations for optimizing cost-efficiency.

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Lead a diverse project team, including subcontractors, engineers, and on-site personnel, to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and ensure effective communication among team members to achieve project objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Address and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other project stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and any potential challenges.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with the safety team to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all applicable safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and resolve any deviations or deficiencies.


Requirements:


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or professional affiliations are a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permit processes in the Atlanta, GA area.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the commercial or industrial construction sector, preferably with a general contractor.
