From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celaebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

As a member of our Talent Acquisition Programs team, the project manager, Talent Experience & Partnerships will drive planning and execution of complex cross-functional projects to enhance our candidate and partner (employee) experience. As a collaborative and organized professional within Starbucks Partner Resources (HR), the project manager will support a range of human resources and recruiting projects, including, but not limited to, resource development and sustainment, events and conference execution, and employer brand content production.

A true owner of your work with a team-first attitude, you will create elevated and impactful resources and experiences to position Starbucks as the employer-of-choice. Leverage your background in organizing, planning, and leading to bring the Starbucks employer brand to life in innovative ways, while ensuring we show up consistently and effectively for our partners and customers.

As a project manager you will...

  • Remain current on project management standards and methodologies.
  • Facilitate decision making without having the total picture by thoughtfully balancing risk and uncertainty.
  • Manage Partner Resources (HR) projects in accordance with available Starbucks established project and program management methodologies.
  • Apply knowledge, processes, skills, tools and techniques to project activities in order to meet project goals.
  • Pull together and leverage project resources such as talent, materials, and budget, with support.
  • Develop a cohesive team committed to working together and completing the project to the best of their ability.
  • Drive to understand and communicate how the project's goals align to the business unit, functional area and/or company goals and strategies.
  • Drive decision making with your function's leader(s) that favors alignment over consensus- building.
  • Understand and stay current on organizational policies, practices, procedures and cultures in order to navigate formal and informal channels.
  • Understand and manage project stakeholder community.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities while leading others.
  • Drive cross-functional enterprise projects by leading high performing, often globally distributed teams.
  • Role model a positive and productive work environment, and coach others to do the same.
