Project Manager, Supply Chain

What To Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to support our Supply Chain Organization in strategic procurement topics with a focus on ensuring Tesla’s compliance with the growing number of regulatory requirements related to responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency. The role is focused on helping Tesla identify upstream suppliers, in some cases to the raw materials, and help assess the risk associated with those suppliers. A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of supply chains in the automotive, energy or technology sectors. The role will also require close work with internal stakeholders, particularly those directly managing commercial relationships with suppliers and trade compliance. The ability to quickly develop a level of trust with internal and external stakeholders will be essential. The role will interact with both key leadership personnel as well as day-to-day operations on a regular basis and hence require the ability to perform hands on operational tasks as well as strategize on longer term solutions.
What You’ll Do

• Work with existing or potential third-party providers to help manage data quality and improve value to Tesla
• Support the development of supply chain visualizations using GIS systems to help highlight potential areas of risk utilizing multiple data sources and topics
• Communicate to supplier managers global requirements related to supply chain mapping and increase understanding of applicable risks
• Collaborate with global teams to enhance Tesla ESG efforts and methodology
• Develop and lead trainings for internal and supplier audiences on relevant topics and Tesla’s expectations for supply chain transparency
• Understand Tesla’s current supply chain mapping efforts identify areas of improvement and document processes
• Collaborate with Tesla’s internal applications teams to understand Tesla’s supplier data and how this can be used to better identify upstream suppliers
• Build and manage relationships with internal teams to facilitate engagement
• Engage with Tesla’s supplier managers to understand their current efforts to map supply chains and work to reduce duplicate efforts, increase efficiency
• Engage with Tesla’s supply chain to educate on importance of mapping efforts, their role and collect information on upstream companies

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working with ArcGIS or equivalent systems to build GIS visualizations incorporating multiple data sources a plus
• Experience working across and successfully influencing multiple internal stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Systems Management, Regulatory Compliance, Business, Communications, Geographic Information Systems or Sustainability and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
• Background in supply chain sustainability, responsible sourcing preferred
• Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present complex issues in a clear and concise manner and provide succinct results-oriented supply chain expertise
• 3+ years of strategic and operational supplier due diligence experience in automotive, consulting and/or tech industry supporting supply chain regulatory compliance
• Extensive knowledge of supply chains and experience working at identifying and interacting with upstream suppliers
• Experience working with global suppliers, particularly in China, Southeast Asia and Mexico

Expected Compensation
$68,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
