Project Manager Sr.


  • Will consider highly qualified candidates from additional locations. This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid work model which includes remote work and 0-3 days in office per month.

The Carelon Payment Integrity Team is seeking a dynamic Project Manager Sr. to support cross functional teams as we improve our end-to-end digital and audit process. The Project Manager Sr. is responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes and duration including large projects from a global perspective that incorporates both the business and technical aspects of the project.


How Will You Make An Impact


  • Directs business system analysts and supports overall implementation activity within Shared Services.
  • Identifies team training and tool needs; defines, recommend and secures contractual agreements for services and products.
  • Works as a key leader among Business, Strategy, IT, and Product Teams.
  • Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources.
  • Maintains and updates all project documents and issue logs.
  • Implements project management tools and techniques to orchestrate project deliverables, processes, and systems.
  • Develops training plans, develops requirements documents, develops project approval matrix, develops workflows; and socializes to key stakeholders.
  • Develops a communication management plan and leads project meetings.
  • Manages and monitors ROI throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase; defines critical success factors (technical and operational); and establishes and manages the project warranty period.
  • Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products.
  • This position coaches and mentors project cross functional team members; determines project scope; develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans.


Minimum Requirements


  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 5 years professional project management experience required during which at least 3 years are spent leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and six sigma black belt preferred.
  • 3+ Years experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in MS Project, Aha, JIRA, Confluence, and general reporting applications.
  • Payment Integrity Experience strongly preferred.


For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $89,920 to $161,856.
