Position Overview: Position is Local to Decatur, Illinois Candidate will coordinate with customers to bid, plan, and complete commercial and industrial construction projects. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, estimating project costs, preparing project proposals, and to coordinate with the field personnel performing the work to ensure that the scope of work is understood and completed to specifications. Candidate will also be responsible for tracking the status of the project through completion, analyzing productivity and keeping productivity records for estimating. Since candidate will be a main point of contact with the plant, an ability to represent hth companies in a professional manner is required. Responsibilities and Duties: Shows up on time and ready to complete work Follows directions of leadership and clarifies responsibilities if needed Respects self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients Adaptable in methods used to complete task Willing to go the extra mile for the team Communicate effectively both written and verbal Conducts business in professional manner Build relationships with prospective and current clients Build relationships with current vendors Review project drawings and specifications to verify scope of work Preform detailed quality takeoffs, get material pricing, and apply labor cost Put together submittals and submit to the customer Coordinate with field management to ensure project scope is understood Preform productivity analysis and track project status Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Education and Experience Must have strong Microsoft office skills excel, word, and outlook Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or like field preferred but not required. Construction Background a plus Personal Characteristics Ability to follow all safe work procedures Excellent communication skills Adaptable in methods used to complete task Willing to go the extra mile for the team Motivated to learn new skills and trades Follows directions of manager / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if needed Respects self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients.
